I killed the mimic a hundred time and it just dropped Excalibur and bull hammer, but no skull diva and deception bow :(
ReplyDeleteI farmed the mimic near the save pt on Very Hard Gate.
I've killed the first Mimic you encounter at the Gate level at least 50 times in a row and the Excalibur scroll has yet to drop. All I'm getting are Skull Diva and Kitty Staff scrolls.

ReplyDeleteOk, for all you people that want Ragnorak, forget it, the sword is not that great compared to Septentrio, I play on Very Hard and have yet to find a sword better then it, if i find one then i will tell you
ReplyDeletesorry for the double post but if you want Septentrio talk to Gerald, get him as an ally, put him in your party and change his sword, then equip septentrio, easy way to get it at the beginning of hard mode, also it's better then Excalibur

ReplyDelete@ Kreg, I thought the same at first, but at Lv30, Ragnarok is far superior to the Septentrio in Atk and free slots.
ReplyDeleteAlso, for those looking for Ragnarok scrolls, you can also get some off of the River Belle boss. I have received quite a few Ragnarok scrolls from it on Hard. You can also get the Old Sword, a necessary item to make the Ragnarok from the same boss. As a bonus, he also occasionally drops Ryokos.
ReplyDeleteThis is rather odd, I have no Maid Blade in my shop. Does that mean my game is Corrupted? And are you positive that the mimics in the Gate drop Wizard hats? I've yet to come upon one.

ReplyDeleteThe mimic with the Ragnarok scroll in River Belle is in the far north west chest. But like what the list said, it's only found in hard mode.
ReplyDeleteIf you look closely at the Ragnarok, does'nt it look exactly like the Ultima weapon but in red version?
ReplyDeleteWell it does look the same as the Ultima weapon in Kingdom hearts but not in the Ultima weapon in Final fantasy. Why does the Ultima weapon looks like a light saber anyway...?

ReplyDeleteu all can get excalibur in hard mode killing the mimic near the entrance to the boss fight in gate.(that how i got it) anyway i think ragnarok is better than serpentrio because it has 3 rooms for jewels.
ReplyDeleteull see what i mean by going to the jewel jenerate, in this same guide(6 guar stones, 6 attak stones, gigas eye ... )the serpentrio is for those ppl that dont feel like farming the old sword material and making the uber jewels and then leveling up the sword... ppl like me. :D
Well Kreg, you are full of your self you retard. Ragnarok is WAY BETTER then the gay septentrio blade. One reason: 3 "usuable slots". and the bonuses of it. And i've beat vh10 already and have all 999stats for my characters (even element stats).

ReplyDeleteI found a discrepancy. In the Scroll / Sword page, it states that the Excalibur Scroll drops from a Gate Mimic on Hard / Very Hard mode. But on the Enemy Drop List page, there isn't a drop list for Very Hard mode Gate Mimics. By the way, this is a helpful website.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you can get more HP at lvl 99 with out something like AR. If you know how let me know. From what I know if you want max hp attack, def etc. you have to follow a guide about what gems to use to help lvl stats like that. I could be wrong though. Like I said if you know how inform me and I'll help in anyway I can.

ReplyDeleteWell actually all you need to do is make new chars. It is wise (in my opinion) to start a new game while your at it. I think that because the monsters wont be as strong. Example: as if you take a low level and throw them in the tower, before the final battle. The battle would be very hard. Like I said as far as I know. The only way to get a total 100% maxed char is to use gem/stat guides. Or AR. Best of luck=/ sorry I cant help all that much=( but if there is anything else feel free to ask=)

ReplyDeletewell if you are talking about that all four players just magic at once and make the max. It's easy, go to menu and then AI settings and tell them to copy you.

ReplyDeleteI bought this game recently and I just finished it on normal. Next thing to do is to collect and aim for max stats >=]
If anybody can, I was hoping if I could get some gems. Preferably Ryokos and the stat boosting gems (Emeralds, Morions, Rubies, Citrines, Amethysts and Topaz).
A number of them would be helpful as I'm following the max stats guide, but 1 of each would also be extremely helpful.

ReplyDelete1: Go to a save stone and select "Save and Play Multiplayer" than press A. Wait for the game to save and load a new screen.
2:Select "Nintendo WFC" and press A.
3:Select "Friend Menu" press A
4:Select Friend Roster press A
5: Look on the top screen of your DS. There will be your personal friend code.
(Now to add friends) Press A on "Register" and simply put in other players friend code so you can multi play with that person. Let me know if you have any more questions. Feel free to add my number and I will be more than happy to give you the items you need. =)
I forgot to mention you can use the touch screen with the steps. I rarely use the stylus on this game.
