SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance - Behind the scenes designs revealed

Today Sega released the first behind-the-scenes video for the upcoming action game [SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance] under the series of "Making" episode 1. The title is based on the Shinobi arcade game back in 1987. It is being developed by Sega and the French studio Lizardcube.

In the video, the creative director and CEO of Lizardcube, Ben Fique who has background in traditional art and 2D animation, talks about the detailed visual design, and the background director Julian Nguyen-You talks about the unique art style creation. Check out the full video below.



SHINOBI: Revenge of the Slash is scheduled for release on Friday, August 29, 2025. There's also a Digital Deluxe Edition that includes extra contents and future DLC (Season Pass) as listed below:
- Starter Pack: the Ghost Outfit, the Medic Lite Amulet, and 2000 Gold
- SEGA Villains Stage (Coming Early 2026)
- Digital Art Book & Soundtrack
*Gold is collected during gameplay and cannot be purchased separately.

The Deluxe Edition also offers to play the game 3 days earlier, so do expect spoiler on the internet 3 days before the release date lol
