Capcom has officially announced Resident Evil 9: Requiem, the next mainline entry in the iconic survival horror franchise. Revealed during the Summer Game Fest 2025, the game is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Resident Evil Requiem serves as a direct sequel to Resident Evil Village (2021) and introduces a new protagonist: Grace Ashcroft, an FBI agent investigating mysterious deaths at a hotel where her mother died eight years prior. The narrative takes players back to a post-apocalyptic Raccoon City, now portrayed as a desolate, irradiated wasteland following its nuclear destruction. This setting marks a nostalgic yet reimagined return to the series' roots, featuring iconic locations like the Raccoon City Police Department.
