50 days of Resident Evil Survival Unit - Unstoppable Cheaters and unfixed bugs

Basically the core gameplay of this game is like a strategy war game, the classic fixed camera gameplay that you probably saw on Youtube is just a very very small part of the game. The main part is building your troops, strengthen your base, and hopefully joining an active wealthy alliance to get a lot more rewards from conquering all events.

Now, about the cheaters - first of all, I don’t know exactly how they do it. It seems like they pay for a small amount of resources but somehow end up getting 10x or even 100x more than what they paid for. At least in World 1, I’ve seen a few players who grew much faster than anyone else, even the whales. They eventually got banned, but they had already been bullying others for quite some time. Even now, there are still a few suspicious players around. People report them, but it takes some time before any action is taken. What about the cheaters who aren’t so obvious, will they be able to escape being banned? And how often can the game masters actually catch them? How could it be cheated so easily?

Regarding the bugs, they’ve fixed some, good job, but I wonder why the obvious ones are still there (even as I’m writing this). For example, the Arena points system: sometimes I win a battle but don’t receive points, and sometimes I lose but still gain points. When I watch replays of my battles, they often show different outcomes, like my Claire defeating the opponent in the actual fight, but in the replay, she’s the one who gets defeated.

Also during the Saint Vale battle (major event), my troops got stuck in the laser tower even after the opponent had taken it, they were supposed to return, but they didn’t. And the list of bugs just keeps going. Imagine paying for extra stuff only to get unfairly overwhelmed by cheaters, losing the rewards that should be yours, or losing a battle you should’ve won because of bugs. Also they have a wrong description for the Mortem 3 earlier.

Nowadays, Capcom doesn’t seem directly involved in the day-to-day development of this mobile game, so Aniplex and Joycity, WTF are you guys doing? You’ve got a major IP in the video game, and you’re just messing it up like this?

Resident Evil 9 Requiem - Demo is out!

Resident Evil 9: Requiem’s demo was released a day after the new trailer at Gamescom 2025, featuring around 10 minutes of gameplay.

Grace Ashcroft, the main character, begins inside a dark mansion with limited light source. Players must find a fuse to open the gate and escape the area while avoiding a monster reminiscent of the Marguerite boss from Resident Evil 7. The demo also allows players to switch between first-person and third-person (over-the-shoulder) views.

Resident Evil 9: Requiem is scheduled to release on February 27, 2026. Expect more teasers to be revealed in the near future, especially at Tokyo Game Show 2025.

I Hate This Place - an isometric Survival Horror with a Focus on Stealth

I Hate This Place is a brutal isometric survival horror where reality twists, and endless nightmares. Story set in a cursed land with bunch of 'Silent Hill kind' of monsters, you’ll have to scavenge, craft, sneak around or fight to survive (so far in the demo, you can sneak through most parts).

It’s a pretty cool concept to see an isometric (top-down-like) horror game, since there aren’t many games using this perspective compared to first-person and over-the-shoulder horror. There’s another similar title called Whisper Mountain Outbreak, set to release this month, the biggest difference is that you fight through monsters in a group where teamwork and positioning are key, whereas I Hate This Place focuses more on stealth and “hide and seek” gameplay.

The demo showcases various types of monsters, including aggressive, stationary, and patrolling enemies. Most of them are blind, so you need to move slowly and stay quiet if you want to avoid combat. There are also many basic items to try out here such as firearms, grenades, and decoy tools. The demo covers about 30 minutes of gameplay, during which you try to escape from the first building.

Toxtli & The Moon Jar - A nostalgic "Tumblepop" style of arcade game!

A stage by stage progression, vacuum mechanic where you can suck in enemies, then spit them out as a projectiles to kill others, and power ups, this is an arcade game from 1991 - Tumblepop! But instead of a vacuum, you're given a magic jar, and the levels are randomized.

The game is divided into levels, which you can select on the world map. Each level contains several stages and a boss fight. If you lose all your lives, you have to restart the entire level again. Personally, I played up to the level 2 boss. Since the enemies and stages are randomized, you might encounter a very difficult setup even early on, which made this demo quite hard. I hope this will be adjusted in the full game, because when the game throws some "hard-to-deal" enemies into the same stage, it can become frustrating.

Adrenaline Overdrive - A Retro-style FPS wrapped in a Dark Story

Adrenaline Overdrive is a fast-paced retro-style FPS action game that kind of reminds me of Quake. Instead of always with a gun in your hands, you have to keep killing enemies and take their weapons throughout the game. If you don’t have any gun, you’ll have to rely on your fists to fight.

"KEY FEATURES:

• MASTER SUPERNATURAL MOVEMENT
Run, jump, and slide as you tear through urban battlegrounds. Your enhanced abilities make you unstoppable - if you can stay alive long enough to use them.

• EXPLORE A FRACTURED CITY
From neon-lit corporate towers to abandoned subway tunnels, every corner of this alternate Brooklyn tells a story of war, corruption, and resistance."

The demo includes six playable levels (including the tutorial), each lasting around 3-4 minutes. It features two types of enemies: one with a gun, and another with melee attacks and a lot of HP. The game also includes some light platforming challenges, if you miss a jump you’ll fall back to the beginning.

BioMenace Remastered - OG Run and Gun Platformer from 1993 Returns!

BioMenace Remastered is an officially authorized licensed remake of the classic run and gun platformer in 1993, which also including updated visuals, modern features, and new content.

"Fight your way through a city ravaged by dangerous mutants, rescue hostages, find secrets and rack up points. Locate the secret lab behind this attack and prevent Dr. Mangle from taking over the world!"

Beyond the classic run-and-gun action, the game features light puzzle elements, like exploring different areas and finding key items to progress. You'll have access to multiple weapons and grenades, each suited for dealing with different enemy types more effectively.  The demo includes 4 levels and offers around 30 minutes of gameplay.

The full game is currently scheduled for release in Q4 2025.

SANGRA - Back to OG survival horror but with a modern gameplay style

Limited inventory, scarce ammo, finding keys, and puzzle solving - a classic survival horror experience with a modern over-the-shoulder perspective. SANGRA brings the timeless formula into the present without losing the essence of true survival horror.

The game is currently planned for release in 2026. The first demo includes a handgun, herbs, some combinable items, and a shotgun, though the shotgun can only be held and cannot used. As for enemies, there appears to be only one type, a glitchy zombie-like creature (I wonder if it's a place holder?) that likely represents the most common monster in the full game.
