Capcom - Monster Hunter
Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) is pleased to announce the release of "Monster Hunter Freedom 2G" for the Sony PlayStation® Portable (PSP®) set for March 2008. The "Monster Hunter Freedom 2G PSP® Slim & Lite Pack" will also go on sale at this time.
The "Monster Hunter Freedom" series for the Sony PSP® makes use of Network Play to build upon the gaming experience with intense cooperative play. The series has seen explosive popularity in the student market and has positively contributed to sales of the Sony PSP® itself. The success of the series has made it into one of Capcom's leading franchises. As a testament to its popular reception, "Monster Hunter Freedom 2" was the first PSP® title to sell over a million copies in Japan, and eight months after its release continues to be a strong seller. The game was also awarded the Grand Award at the Japan Game Awards: 2007.
"Monster Hunter Freedom 2G" is the sequel to the million-hit seller "Monster Hunter Freedom 2". As with its predecessor, 2G puts the player in the boots of a fearless hunter tracking down and fighting ferocious monsters in a breathtaking natural expanse. "Monster Hunter Freedom 2G" includes all new stages, monsters, and other goodies specifically designed to please long-time monster hunters. In addition, fans of the series will be pleased to know that they can transfer their data from "Monster Hunter Freedom 2" over to this new edition, though the new game is also the perfect jumping-on point for players new to the series.
At Capcom it is our continued goal to bring our properties to multiple platforms to provide the best entertainment experiences, and the "Monster Hunter" series is no exception to this. We hope to continue meeting and exceeding the expectations of gamers with our dedication to developing solid titles for the best gaming platforms available.
